In 2003, I officially incorporated Not the Norm Ltd, but my journey began well before that. Back in 1999, I was a sole trader, selling through my website after a life-changing encounter in the late ‘90s with Jerry Yamoa and his family.

At the time, I had put my Reflexology practice on pause to welcome my first child (who, incredibly, is now 20!). During this break, I crossed paths with Jerry Yamoa, who introduced me to something truly extraordinary – Yamoa™ powder. He told me it had cured asthma in his village in Ghana, and more recently, among his colleagues at the Royal Mail sorting office in Nine Elms.

Naturally, I was sceptical but intrigued. There was something about Jerry – his honesty, his sincerity – that made me want to believe him. Besides, I figured it wouldn’t take much to prove him wrong if it didn’t work. Jerry generously gave me some samples, and I sent them to a few of my former reflexology clients who were struggling with asthma. The results? Astounding. It was clear: I had found my life’s purpose – to help people battling asthma and hay fever by bringing Yamoa™ to the world.

For two years, I poured myself into building my first basic Yamoa™ website, working late into the night to get it off the ground. As someone who had never touched a computer before, it was no small feat, especially on a shoestring budget – I had no money to invest in this venture. But I was determined. I knew the internet was my key to reaching the people who needed this remedy.

Convincing complete strangers that you’ve discovered a natural remedy for respiratory conditions was an uphill battle. But I persisted, and in August 2001, I caught my first big break. Dr. David Williams, a highly respected American physician with a deep interest in natural health, had heard whispers about Yamoa™. A friend in London told him that what he’d been searching for in Africa was now available in England – with me. Dr. Williams reached out, and I offered his 260,000 subscribers a discount on their first orders. Before long, word-of-mouth took off, and the rest is history.

Since then, Yamoa™ has helped thousands of people overcome asthma, hay fever, pneumonia, bronchitis, and even COPD. My mission remains the same: to make sure anyone who needs Yamoa™ knows it’s out there. And I’d love your help in spreading the word.
